The thesis
This paper will examine the difference in opinion of religion and spirituality in the Eighteenth Century as represented by my friends and teachers William Cowper, David Hume, and Alexander Pope as characterized by Bill, Dave and Sander, respectively. Dave's opinion is such that God does not exist as an intervening being. "Miracles" do not happen. His argument though logical is not quite reasonable. He excludes and offends his friends and humanity by saying the less intelligent need a concept of God to survive. His lack of faith is comparable to Bill's. Bill has faith in God and believes He exists, but lacks confidence in his own salvation. His view of immortality is important to his identity and is quite gloomy for no reason! His sad outlook on life is unfortunate and one must wonder at the possibility that as he believes in God's miracles, does he not see them with the value they deserve? Without faith in good future what point is there in faith at all? Sand

And for that I love
after a long day's work
in the grueling heat
the night offers us its silence
generously the sun
gives us this time of rest,
peace to replenish our mind and
in preparation for mournings
new day
a chance to
cool down
over the day well spent
when senses are dulled and
but finely tuned into understanding
and questions
the stars with mystery probe
thoughts to give us hope,
urging us to wake again so
we will fulfill
the destiny their map points
us to.
The world is round
and for that I love

Mahogany in Verve
At the center, the very center
Is the pillbox for raindrops.
The arms and legs of a thousand –
Fully embellished in proud summer months –
Fully naked with blushing beauty in glacial December.
At the center are the beech hips and almond lips.
The curling cortex of sap and verve.
The ladies with their golden gloves in autumn –
Dance in the palms of emerald men in spring.
At the center, the very center
Of mahogany.

To Cascade
To Cascade
Somewhere along the way of this life
we get lost…
washed away utterly and completely
by the current that comes rushing in
without warning or formal intent
such is life – with its cascades and crescendos
a torrential outpouring hits us with soft walls
scoops us up and carries us along its back
yet only if we are brave enough to trust
to let go of shorelines and horizons
To learn to trust ourselves,
to trust the tides of time…
it is only in this sweet release that we are delivered to where we need to be…
lost in happiness
submerged in joy
engulfed in passion
and drowned in love

so, did you delete your wire sculpture photos?
did you try photographing them on a neutral background but with a good lighting? looking for the right angle should be important as well, right?
and how about the chalk art you mentioned? seems cool
